Dolly Parton, Monica & More Team Up On Breast Cancer Awareness Song 'PINK'

A few major stars have come together to help in the fight against breast cancer, and have teamed up on a brand new song called "PINK," just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Dolly Parton, Monica, Jordin Sparks, Sara Evans and Rita Wilson (who is a breast cancer survivor herself) appear on the new track to benefit Susan G. Komen, the world's leading breast cancer organization, and a portion of the proceeds from "PINK" will help fund much-needed breast cancer research and patient services provided by the organization.

Written by Erin Kinsey, Jodi Marr and Victoria Shaw, "PINK" is a moving song about providing "listeners with hope for a future when no one loses someone they love to breast cancer," according a statement on YouTube.

"PINK" also comes with an accompanying music video, which features all five ladies recording the song (safely) at their respective homes, in addition to photos of people who have been touched by breast cancer.

In teasing the song, breast cancer survivor Rita Wilson explained of her involvement on social media, "1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. I was one of them.I am thrilled to be working on something that will bring hope and comfort to all those facing breast cancer."

According to Susan G. Komen, breast cancer kills more than 42,000 women and men in the U.S. alone each year, and 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed at some point in their lifetime. There are also currently 3.8 million breast cancer survivors and people living with breast cancer in the U.S.
