Dierks Bentley recruited fellow singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde to release the latest collaboration from his soon-to-release 10th studio album on Friday morning (February 3). Bentley and McBryde performed āCowboy Bootsā as they took the stage at Robertās Western World, one of many staple honky tonks on the iconic Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
Bentleyās newest music comes as he marks two decades into his career as an award-winning singer-songwriter. He teamed up with Casey Brown, Jordan Minton and Hunter Phelps to bring the āsharply-written new trackā to life, per a press release issued Friday. Bentley added on his social media channels that āover the last 20 years, my [Cowboy Boots] have carried me through the gravel, the gold and everything in between. Had to use a little duct tape at times, but weāve come a long way!ā
āWhen I first really fell in love with Country music, Jim Beam and cowboy boots came along for the ride. Iāve had a few (pairs) of boots over the years, many requiring duct tape at times. But, theyāve been my consistent and steady companion through this crazy ride,āĀ Bentley said in a statement. āNot only does Ashley have one of the best voices in Country music, she also always rocked a pair of boots when we were on tour together last year. I wanted someone that I could authentically sing this song with, and I didnāt have to look any further than stage left. Sheās the real deal.ā
āCowboy Bootsā comes at the heels of āSame Olā Me,ā āHigh Noteā (a ābluegrass super jam,ā featuringĀ Billy Strings,Ā Charlie Worsham,Ā Jerry DouglasĀ on dobro,Ā Sam BushĀ on mandolin and guitar starĀ Bryan Sutton), and āGold.ā Each one is set to appear on Bentleyās 14-track album, Gravel & Gold, which is set to make its long-awaited debut on February 24.
