Blake Shelton kicked off his first residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening (February 5).
The award-winning country star performed his career-spanning hits throughout the electrifying show, including duets with his wife,
fellow singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani. Though Stefani did not join Shelton on stage in person, she appeared on a screen behind her husband to sing her parts of the song in pre-recorded footage. Shelton and Stefani met in 2014, when they were both coaching on The Voice. They publicly confirmed their budding relationship the following year, announced their engagement in 2020, and got married in July 2021 in a stunning ceremony on Shelton’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Over the years, the married duo released “Happy Anywhere,” “Purple Irises” and other collaborations together.
“This is a big deal for me,” Shelton said, via PEOPLE, as he kicked off his residency. He added later, “this is too much fun to be work. There’s some kind of added pressure when you do Las Vegas, like everybody is waiting for the trapeze people or some dancers to come down.”
Shelton, who opened the Vegas location of his bar last year, announced his residency in August 2024. The rest of the Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas dates include February 7, 8, 12, 14 and 15.
