This is incredible. At a concert at the Gorge in Washington over the weekend, the Chicks paid tribute to the late, great Olivia Newton John by covering one of her big hits from Grease "Hopelessly Devoted To You."
I loved Natalie's intro when she said "I thought I was Olivia Newton John from like four until twelve, and then I wished I was Olivia Newton John." So many of us that were kids in the 1980s probably felt that way!! Natalie then mentioned that the Chicks worked up some Olivia Newton John that day in soundcheck and the band launched into a stunning cover of "Hopelessly Devoted To You."
While the tribute was absolutely beautiful, I'm thinking this needs to me more than just a one time tribute- this needs to be a permanent fixture in a Chicks show. They NAILED it!
