80-year-old maestro João Carlos Martins lost the dexterity in his hands, preventing him from playing his beloved piano. With the help of Bionic Gloves designed by Ubiratan Bizarro Costa (@ubiratanbizarro), he was given the chance to relive his passion again.
While visiting Bulgaria in 1995, Mr. Martins was attacked by 2 men, incurring a brain injury and losing the use of his right arm. Instead of retiring entirely from the piano Martin’s continued to play using his left hand and one finger on the right hand... Until now. After two decades of limitations, the former concert pianist was finally able to perform again.
